    We are proud to announce that fiatservice.eu has become the official diagnostic support group to manage Fiat 500e for Rallycross Electric Races. Fiat 500e is qualified as a vehicle accepted by the Rallycross eN group – Electric Stock Cars.

    For stock vehicles, a basic requirement of the FIA (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile) is an internal roll cage.

    The company sbse.pl is responsible for the design and construction of the safety cage and created the interior protective coating. You have to admit that they did a beautiful job.

    Fiat 500e RallyCross – The FIA also requires vehicles be outfitted with special lights, that inform the track staff about the condition of the electric vehicle. This made possible with fiatservice.eu technical support, working together with the engineers from Eliemen Racing .

    It turned out that our intervention was needed immediately to diagnose issues on the first two cars. Received three weeks ago, the HV batteries turned out to be completely dead. They had newly regenerated HV Battery packages from a competing company. The first had the symptom of damage as, of course, not switching on. Then showing 0% to 47% State of Charge on IPC indicating an overly discharged state.

    Lifting and opening the HV housing revealed the problem. It turned out that the HV battery had broken cells. They were self-discharging. This condition should never leave a company that has undertaken the remanufacturing.

    Despite our efforts to build one battery out of two, it was not possible to collect enough modules in good condition. Unfortunately, this reconstruction will require additional cells from a third HV packet, as well as re-checking all battery capacity measurements. Again, this is unacceptable with newly reconditioned units.

    The second car had a problem with lost body settings. After successful re-programming, it turned out that the programmed ignition key had also been lost. These related problems were both quickly resolved.
